ONE Dynamic Inertia Performance Trainer
I was first introduced to the ONE Dynamic Inertia Performance Trainer at Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside California. It was being demonstrated by 6-time World Long Drive Champion Jason Zuback. After swinging the ONE club a few times, I knew it has to be a part of my training regimen. What I feel really sets it apart is the options, that literally makes it a ONE club for all training. With it, you can train for speed, release, and power. Let’s cover a little about each:
Speed: There are 10 levels of speed with the ONE club, from swinging at 61 mph to 160 mph. The increments at set at 9 mph evenly. These are really good at testing your speed. If you hear the click, you know you’ve reached the speed you’re going for.
Release: There are 11 levels of release. Release differs from speed in that you have 260 grams of weight added, along with the varying resistance bands, and the goal is to get the club to release at or beyond the ball placement. If you release before, then you know that casting is likely the result in your swing.
Power: This is the main reason I purchased this club. There are 12 power settings, and with all of the weight applied, you’re looking at 390 grams (.85 lbs) with varying resistance bands based off power setting. To get the One club to click requires phenomenal technique and power, and it is a workout over time.
I begin training release first, then power, and fatigued, I finish with speed. For me it ensures I can perform when I am not 100%, typically towards the end of a golf round. Everyone should understand it doesn’t just make your good better, it raises your overall baseline. When you crush a ball and your reaction is “I don’t feel like I hit it that far,” that is the type of result you’ll get from using the ONE Dynamic Inertia Performance Trainer. I highly recommend it.
