Flexibility
Flexibility was key for me when I began playing golf in 2010. It was so instrumental to having a successful fitness program, that I took the time to write about it in Par Your Golf BODY©. Here are 10 flexibility benefits for better golf and a better you!
- Longevity. Ever heard the phrase “use it or lose it?” It applies to the body.
- A Longer Swing. The longer the backswing, the longer the downswing, and that is more time to apply force. Force=distance.
- Less Injuries. Those that has a systematic physical fitness/mobility program have less injuries than those who are sedentary.
- You’ll feel better. Flexibility increases the range of motion, meaning your body does not have to try or force itself to move.
- More swing options. Sometimes you need a hook around a tree. Flexibility gives you more swing options.
There are hundreds of golf fitness programs out there. My vote is on Cody Wescott Golf. His motto for his golf fitness is LIFT HEAVY, SWING FAST. There are numerous different workouts for you to use no matter if you are a beginner golfer or ten years deep into the game, his programs will make you better. Please see what he can do for you!
